Proceeds from the event will go toward Wide Open Walls and other nonprofits to be announced at a later date. The Owner of The Elks Tower envisions a future where the Wide Open Walls event is a year round part of the Sacramento experience.
The owner of The Elks Tower Casino told KCRA the murals are a golden opportunity for Sacramento cash in. Steve Ayers wants to create Casino Square, which is a spot surrounded by murals that would draw visitors from around the world.
